Didn't he also ask for a 20-year-long strict military rule for India?

The man who holds one of the highest post of the nation and highly respected by evey Indians irrespective of their class, should restraint himself from making political comments.
It should be discarded at every level....

What extraordinary things you've done to India that you inherited 😂 saying as if these made India elite, those who blame Nehru every now and then must realise that the India uve in your hand today would not be there if it was governed by moto of " one nation one ration card one election one Its like criticising own father for being poor! Only the father knows how hard it was to earn a penny at that time

If people had elected UPA again in 2014 gas prices would have been low...
Talking "ifs and buts" is very easy..

He is criticising Sardar patel, that he could not stop partition...

Lmao, Netaji or not, nobody could have avoided the inevitable post 1946 Provincial Elections, Direct Action Day, and the fact that our rulers the British were themselves in favor of it due to their larger geopolitical interests.

The only blunder Congress/Nehru made was not pressing for a total population exchange, although who knows a demand like that could've meant that India would have to give away more territory than it already was giving up. The partition & subsequent population exchange in reality was only an event of few provinces, Punjab & Sindh (near total), Bengal (not nearly as complete as Punjab, but to a large extent), and moving of a significant chunk of Muslims from Delhi & United Provinces (Muhajirs of Pakistan today).

You chaddis can keep maligning Nehru for every problem under the sun, sure he committed some major blunders (his handling of China & to some extent even Kashmir. I wish he had taken the economy towards a liberalized path as well, India would have been much richer today), but there's a lot that this country owes to the great man as well. You don't need to write a research paper for this, just look at the conditions of almost all post-colonial "democratic states." The truth is there was no other major viable option, Patel passed away too early post independence (just look at what happened to Pakistan once Jinnah passed away). I personally would have preferred Babasaheb as the 1st prime minister, but he was not a mass leader (unlike posthumously today) to be politically viable.

Are you here to prove how congress failed ? Bjp is failing big time too - Manipur is burning, China is capturing land, unemployment, pollution, corruption, communal disharmony etc . Please work fot the country first like Netaji did .

I believe partition is blessing to present India. Think about situation if india pakistan as one. 25 cror additional Muslim part of the nation including tribal pasthun population...the kind of polerizing force would have worked on. How could and destructive Muslim forced would have..with 40% of total population ( now it's only 15%).... every other day there would have been bomb blast and riot and think about kind of apeacement politics in play...this country would have become worst than present day Pakistan....God saved us with partisan...we should be thankful
