Ragged Mountain isn't a fair comparison to Mario's Rainbow Castle cause that board was in Mario Party 1, which came out in 1998, whereas Gates to Infinity came out in 2012, 14 years later.

Also, motifs are reused all the time. Reckless Adventure sounding like Mid-Boss Battle isn't that surprising, though "A Rare Minigame" from MP7, Top 100, and Superstars, or "Think It Out" from MPDS would be a better comparison.

To me, a more surprising music comparison would be the Party Plaza theme sounding similar to Blonde's The Tide is High
