In Part 3, Stephanie at Hightower Stitching discusses construction of the half hexagons, the dimensions of her small throw quilt, and sewing the hexagon sections to each other.
When you sew the rows together start at the left side, and sew one hexagon side to the other row, stop, and repeat. Open to see the front each time you do a side row to check for joining of star points, and to make sure you are moving on to the correct next side. Part 4- 9/27/2020 and Part 5 - 10/4/2020

Notes:
Smaller Quilt dimensions:
* 48 hexagons, about 8 half hexagons
* ends up 56" x 60.5" and has no border
* backing was 3 yards, but purchase 3.5 yards
I ran one panel from side to side adding a little fabric at ends, cut the left over part in half the short way and sewed two short seams, and sewed that strip to the long edge of the first panel.

Looking forward:
1. Sewing long rows together, cutting off the pointed edges, making the sandwich and pinning, labeling my neighbor's Cathedral Window quilt and an idea for how to sew the rows together, Sept. 27

Thank you, Stephanie 👏🥰. Instead of pinning, I have been converted to placing a couple of drops of school glue inside the seam allowance at places where I want a perfect match - works every time for me. 😍
