I've experimented a LOT with colors and textures and sizes in cat toys...
My conclusion is...
THERE'S NO RHYTHM OR REASON to ANYTHING they like! Every single one has his favorite. All different tastes in the feline world!

Feom what I understand they see blue best. Having everything blue for a bit may be cool. I wouldn't do it all the time but it could be a good enrichment activity.

I see the cat reacting to something, looking all around. At the very least it was a sweet gesture by the cat's person.

The gesture just seems like a nocturnal affect, and we know how they all come alive when the sun goes down. Now I used to just have purple Christmas lights strung in the room and when I plug those in my kitty purred.

I went to my cousin's house yesterday to see their cat and kittens. I wore a blue shirt so I would be a little more noticable to her. The babies are starting to open their eyes now at three weeks old. They're so adorable. Mama ran up to me when I opened the door and rubbed against my legs. I was in kitty heaven yesterday. ❤

I have those color change light bulbs too and my cat always responds VERBALLY when I change the colors at night. idk what it means other than she noticed the change in light spectrum and feels like she needs to tell me about it lol

I’ve read cats see blue yellow and greens so this is the color variations they see in reds and oranges and such. I’ve noticed they really like the blue, green, and yellow toys more

Looks like a filter. The xbox in the commercial is blue as well; if the white light was produced by the TV, it would still be a white xbox
