Infinity has never been claimed to be a real number it has never been treated as such. But the use of infinity in a practical sense serves great purposes in almost every aspect of the universe. There's a reason why to get a bachelor's degree in buisness you must take calculus 2, the use of infinity shows trends in economics. The use of infinity helps to predict end behaviors of trends. Yes infinity is not real, it is a concept. Same as the number 0, what does it mean to have 0 of something? It makes no sense it doesn't serve as a tangible number in the same way that all natural numbers do. Yet we still use it because though it's practical use is small, it's conceptual use is massive. Same with infinity, same with infinitesimal, same with tetrational growth, factorial growth, infinite summation series. Practically the use is small, but the conceptual use is massive
