HAI: Other countries exist beyond America.

Also HAI: Maple America, Guava America, big weird scaffolding America.

There's actually a similar park on the Canada-US border between Manitoba and North Dakota called the International Peace Garden. It's jointly maintained by the two countries, and visitors to the park can freely walk across the border and around the park without going through customs.

The fact that injuries tied to lawn and gardening equipment is a little over 875 per day is even more interesting than why there's an American National Park in Canada, lol. ;)

"...scientists believe there are other countries besides the United States..."
Me: "puh-lease, like taking scientists seriously has stopped us before!"

I should be doing schoolwork right now, but that’s half as interesting.

My mother tongue is German. So when he questioned "Kanada", it took me few moments to realize it is written with C in English 😅

I went to “Canada” when I was 16 for summer camp, but I’m not convinced they didn’t fly me in a circle to a secret airport in a part of Chicago Iv never seen (supposedly it was Toronto), then drive me to some random place in Wisconsin where people acted weird and sold different candy.

It’s the little “haha” during your “Cold war is heating up” joke for me

Sorry for being "that guy" but as a ranger I can't resist.
-There's over 400 National Parks in the US. That's defined as a park administered by the National Park Service. They're all the same administratively and don't get any higher credit if they're a "National Park" vs a "National Historic Site", they're all parks to us.
-The NPS has another "International Parks" with varying a different level of cooperation and that is "Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park".
Love the channel btw, thanks for helping share the story of the NPS and its (many many) oddities with the world!

He's not as wrong as you think.

The moose wizard is technically our head of state, but this is purely ceremonial and wields no real power. Besides the moose magic.

We have a Roosevelt river in the middle of the Amazon forest! Teddy himself helped in the expedition (and with funding, of course) together with Brazilians explorers and his son, he got really sick there and almost died! (jungle fever and yellow fever if I remember correctly)

"Canada wasn't and still isn't the US"

the US: we can fix that.

I’ve been a New Brunswicker for my entire life but not once have I ever heard of this park. I’ve heard of the Campobello Islands and our trifles with Maine many times but never did I know you guys built a god damn park there.
