sometimes main character death is honestly fitting and a better ending. doesn't mean I hate or like it, like some of my fav books have an mc death and I did cry my eyes out and curse the author but sometimes that step needs to be taken to enhance the end of the story. though unnecessary mc deaths I dislike, where it adds nothing to the story just pain, or they come back inn the next book. like bro why?!

What are yalls thoughts on the four subgenres of nightmares hurt/comfort"
a) character A wakes up character B after a nightmare
b) character A and character B fall asleep in the same room (either besties or dating) and character A wakes up suddenly from a nightmare
c) option b except character B wakes up character A when seeing them whimper/tremble
d) in the morning, character B finds character A in the kitchen and they talk about how character A didn't sleep well

bonus points if the nightmare involves character B
