The music has nothing to do with the dance or the meaning behind it

People are saying that this dance is bad, but I think the issue is that Laurieann is not a competition choreographer. She has choreographed for stars like Lady Gaga and Beyonce. Her style of choreo is not meant to be judged, but performed for entertainment purposes, which is evident in a lot of her other dances. Her ideas are eccentric and her dances are energy filled and bright, which would be great for a concert, but not for a competition.

the concept was incredible but it wasn't displayed very well. i thought that camryn would change clothes during the dance and i was waiting for that but she never did. also i think the costumes were very odd. not a fan of the choreo, but the girls slayed.

I love the concept of this dance! But I feel like it would have been more powerful as a contemporary number and with different choreography. Abby always does these story pieces so well, I miss her.

Lol. Poor Laurieanne. She's trying to conform (and she shouldn't have to) to the competition world. It's just not happening. It's obvious that she's an A list entertainment choreographer though. So at least there's that. Lol

Haha this is a MESS. The music choice, choreo and costumes? It was like a laid back disco chill in the 60s. It had SO much potential, how did it come to this 😂😂 The crotch grabbing was tacky. It was a caricature of an ALDC dance. When I heard the concept I was so excited. Now I'm just. Wow.

Honestly the concept was great, but the choreography, the costumes, and the song didn’t display it well. But, I still really liked the choreography, and song. It’s just entertaining to watch.

I don’t know who’s watching in 2019 right now. And who’s gonna read this. But I actually really liked this dance. It’s unique and it’s telling a story. I don’t understand what’s so bad and cringe about it. Not all dances are gonna be the same jazz, lyrical, contemporary. It’s different but a good different
