Greece is only expensive if you don't know where to look. 20+ euros for a fancy meal drinks included is already way too expensive. Although Santorini may have the highest prices due to tourists going there.

Kuwait isn't expensive, the denomination usually confuses people. Most of the stuff is under 1 dinar.

I would put Norway or Iceland on the list instead of Greece. Greece is expensive only in Santorini and rest of the country is quite cheap while other mentioned countries are expensive entirely.

He said these 4 countries are really expensive to visit and the reasons for Greece and Switzerland are valid but for Kuwait he's like I got 30 KWD back for $100 USD. What if that 30 KWD can get you $500 worth in Kuwait? For Angola, he said the apartments are expensive to rent?!? Who the hell is visiting Angola to rent an apartment?

I lived half of a year in Greece and it's not expensive, in many aspects it is cheaper than many other countries especially in western Europe. Only the most touristy and well known place like Santorini or Mykonos are that expensive.

Because I live in greece I have to say that it is not expensive but some islands like Mykonos and Santorini are very expensive

Switzerland is expensive but not because of the goods that have to be shipped in. It is amazing infrastructure and can get goods much easier compared to like half of the US which lives further from the coast than Switzerland does…

Greece is not expensive. Santorini and mykonos are. They are not the authentic Greece. It’s just some islands for the tourists. If you go to mainland and traditional Greece it’s way cheaper and hidden with beauties

How can you say Kuwait is expensive when gas is cheap and when you rent an apartment, electricity and water are free. You also don't pay on road toll fees. You also don't pay tax. You can have your car pressure washed for $5, 1 pound of flour costs $0.50, bus ride is $1, prices of most basic commodities are partially subsidized by the government.

Kuwait isn’t that expensive. Yes, KD is more valuable; however going to a restaurant is usually 1-1.5KD a meal.
And gas is pennies on the dollar.

Visiting Santorini and calling all of Greece expensive is like saying San Francisco is like the rest of the US

As a greek i'd say that Santorini is by far the mosy expensive place in Greece, i'd say places like the ionian coast, Crete and some of the other greek islands are less expensive, though still kinda costly because of tourism nonetheless. And of course, the peloponnese, Athens, Thessaloniki and the more moutanious regions are more affordable(but still somewhat cost because of the pandemic and the economic crisis of course). But yeah, unfortunately Greece today is way too expensive for locals, expats and tourists alike

Greece is beautiful and they have fair prices if you know where to look! Obviously Tourist spots are gonna be overpriced, so try out the restaurants behind the expensive ones. They’re usually located in an alley of some sorts.

Was just in Kuwait, yes Dinar is expensive. But relatively compared to price in USA, USA is still more expensive than Kuwait.
Example
1 Sharwama is 0.5 Dinar= $1.75
1 Sharwama in USA is $7-8

As a greek santorini and mykonos are super expensive thats why you don't see a lot of natives there. If you visit for example Chalkidiki, there will be normal prices and it's underrated in my opinion

For People saying that Greece isn't expensive if you know where to look... Obviously tourists don't live there, if you need to find hoops and exceptions to find inexpensive places, face it. Your country is expensive.

Despite going to all countries, this guy steps on every tourist trap existing. Who goes to Santorini in summer? In winter the whole island is yours and you can go to Tavernas and have 8 euro pastitsios that can be easily two meals in other places. If you get an Airbnb, ocean view apartments are only like 40 euros. Also there are so many other good places to go in Greece that are beautiful and cheap.
