Показать описание
A list of my favorite apps that I use everyday as a critical care flight paramedic. These applications are used for everything from referencing protocols, to calculating drip rates (along with other med math) to reading up to date studies on down time.

The apps discussed in this video include......
PPP App
Active 911
Critical
IV Calc
Epocrates
MDCalc
Calculator
ERG2020
Stroke Scales for EMS
Deployed Medicine
NREMT
Flightradar24
SOAR MTA

If doctors can google for their practice Paramedics can surely use apps out in the field.

You should talk about some of the times you’ve used your personal medical kits outside of your job and what you used. You mentioned in a previous video something from a kit you used.

No disagreement here. I use most of those (my base knowledge is CVICU nurse), and I even added a few. Thank you much.

Someone else mentioned it as well, but pedi stat is great. To coincide with the ERG, the NIOSH pocket handbook is great for hazmat.

I wish Epocrates would actually just flat out say what the drug is used for (like used to treat high blood pressure, depression, etc) and the drug class/type (beta blocker, blood thinner, PPI, etc). Because I tend to need it when someone says a drug that I don’t know, but it doesn’t say what the drug is actually used for and what type of drug it is. I actually find google to be better in that reguard

New look is good. So will we be seeing a new sponsor like “My Beard Supply” in the future? 😉

I had surgery March 17th and had complications. I developed a blood clot in my left leg and one in my lungs. Then I developed a staph infection on part of the incision sight. May 13th I had to go see the surgeon and he took the top off and now I have an open wound. I also had to have an iron infusion. On the way home an hour and a half away my van broke down. It took a week to get it towed to an engine repair shop.
People prep so you have food and medical supplies to care for yourself in case of emergencies.

Me a 16 year old: this will be interesting
Also me: flightrader and calculator, why? I understand it but why did you add it? My sound wasn’t working right so I couldn’t hear why.
