'Good' Cop Stops Bad Cop From Harassing Citizen!

If you voluntarily turn off your body camera, you immediately waive your qualified immunity. There is absolutely zero reason to turn off your body camera while on duty unless you are trying to conceal something that should not be doing.

I was a cop for almost 10 years and I've never heard of being able to arrest someone for failing to signal a lane change. That cop is absolutely ridiculous for arresting her. Especially when you can see she signaled in his bodycam footage.

The fact that TEXAS law permits a LEO to ARREST someone for a traffic violation tells me to avoid TX.

Sure the "good cop" told the disgrace of a cop to let the woman go to avoid a lawsuit, but the "good cop" still felt the need to gaslight the woman as if she caused this situation.

Texas allowing arrest for minor infractions like lane changes is absolutely ridiculous. Why even give that option? It's clearly going to be abused and it's completely illogical to allow cops to arrest on whichever offense they choose

An officer turning off his body cam should be grounds for immediate suspension.

You forgot to show the best part. The camera footage from the police car shows her using her blinker when she changed lanes after he said she did not. So this stop was 100% retaliatory.
