5D's is argably the best among Yu-Gi-Oh! animated eras, turned attention to real life social issues such classicism, prison reform, poverty especially early on.

Even the weakest cards become powerful when Yusei uses them, which was apparent when he used Yanagi's treasure deck to defeat Tanner. He has the innate ability to turn what others view as weakness into a strength, and then use that strength to outduel and outsmart the opponent.

The 'Special Effect/Low Attack' Duels have always been great. So much more interesting than just 'summon bigger monster'. This duel and the one between Chazz and his brothers in GX are two of my favourites.
