My wife came into the barn the other day and asked for a specific tool. I reached into a pile of saw dust next to the chop saw and pulled it out and handed it to her. She stood there for a minute not being able to deal with it. Then the argument started.

the amount of time i've spent looking for shit in the shop because some busy body put it "where it belongs" instead of just leaving it where i left it... that's great that you know where it is, i'm the guy doing the work that keeps the lights on, i need to know where it is.

Look. If you leave something somewhere repeatedly, that means it’s the optimal location for it. Desire path, but for storing tools.

Myself, I'm 100% organized with all my tools! I keep all my hand tools and cordless tools in order, along with all my cordless batteries are always charged.

Always hate when someone says I need to organize something. Like, this is organized because I know where everything is. What’s worse is when you “organize” it and now you have no idea where anything is anymore

My dad was the exact opposite. Everything would be out of place and he would blame everyone else for touching his tools. Even when he lived by himself.

I already learned how to deal with this with my husband 😂 I don't move his stuff, and if I absolutely have to, I either ask him where to put it or tell him I'm moving it.

My garage is organized to the tee. I even use the blower to get the dust off the shelves and top of boxes and totes. Theres no spider webs in my ceilings! Im super OCD with my tools that anyone can find what they need. But they better not touch my tools because ill know if its back in a different position

I'm like this myself. My parents or brother will complain about my room being too messy, but if I clean it up to where they won't complain about it I can't find a damn thing.🤦‍♂️

Love this. A repair guy called and was faffing for a measuring tape. My hand shot out to where mine is stored ...by the toaster... he was in shock 😂😂

My dad never puts anything away. When he can't find something, he just goes and buys another. It's the dumbest thing.
