SR40V Test ~ Water

I recorded the main vocals for this song in an untreated room. I used standard and advanced mixing techniques to get this mix to sound the way it does. I'm not trying to demonstrate what the SR40V gives you, because it recorded exactly what I sang into it and my voice doesn't sound all that good. That is the point of this demo. I recorded a lousy sounding voice, (mine), in an untreated room, then I mixed it with the music track and got the results you hear in this video.
Basically, the SR40V gives you the best quality source track you can get, under much less than perfect conditions, with far less than decent singers. This gives you the best chance of being able to get a decent mix of your session. If I were to duplicate this session with me singing into an SM58, I would have no chance at all of getting a mix this good. The vocal source track simply would not have the detail and quality needed for me to do what needed to be done to make it at least a fair sounding track. The SR40V can give you a chance to make the mix happen where other mics simply cannot get the job done. If you need a mic that records exactly what you put into it in really high definition, you should consider the SR40V.
