Oxycodone: What You Need To Know

Показать описание
Oxycodone is a popular member of the opioid class. It is widely used in medical settings for acute and chronic pain. Outside of those settings, it has long been used recreationally, with its effects compared to morphine and heroin.

The drug is sold either on its own or in combination with acetaminophen (primarily). When acetaminophen is present, the dose must be limited. The general recommendation is to avoid using over 1,000 mg of acetaminophen at once or 3,000 mg per day.

An oxycodone overdose can be very dangerous and even deadly, with a notably problematic effect being respiratory depression. It is more risky when combined with other CNS depressants (e.g. benzodiazepines and alcohol.)

Oxycodone = OxyContin; OxyNeo; Percodan; Dihydrohydroxycodeinone; Percocet; Roxicodone; Eukodal; Dihydrone; Oxycodeinone

The Drug Classroom (TDC) is dedicated to providing the type of drug education everyone should have. Drugs are never going to leave our society and there has never been a society free from drugs.

Therefore, it only makes sense to provide real education free from propaganda.

TDC doesn't advocate drug use. Rather, we operate with the intention of reducing the harm some substances can bring.

My grandma had an operation and got prescribed this shit and she never used them. I told her I had a headache once and she just threw me a whole box. That was a good weekend.

I am on oxycodone for pain, nothing in the world helps my pain like this drug. I have cancer, lupus, endometriosis, post leptospirosis and spinal meningitis damage. Weed helps me eat and oxycodone takes my pain down to a level where I can be productive.

Thank you for the info. Its ridiculous how difficult it is to get unbiased information about drugs. I just got my tonsils out yesterday and was looking for more information about my prescriptions, and your channel has been the best source thus far.

I was on this drug for 6 weeks after an ankle fusion. The pain relief was great but the sedate effect was amazing. The constipation was hell though.

So much bad press on opioids. This is damaging for people who actually need this medication. How many ill people have ended up having to fight just to get pain relief? Shameful.

The 20 minutes rapid onset makes it all that much more better. Compared to other opioids Oxycodone is just in its own league. Can easily do 20-40mg and have no problems functioning.

I was a pharmacy technician from 95 to 2002 and when we started seeing prescriptions of 160 30mg instant release pills per month for people who had very minor injuries, or in some cases none at all, I knew it was going to be a shitstorm at some point.

I have lung cancer and prescribed 15mg morphine 3x a day... I've noticed if I miss a dose or late on any of my regimen I tend to feel weird and anxious.. My pain is definitely real, I just wish that there was another way to go about limiting it...IF YOU DO START TO USE OPIATES FOR RECREATION DO NOT START A CONSISTENT DAILY DOSE AND ONLY TAKE IT AS DIRECTED.. I KNOW IT'S NOT THE BEST ADVICE BUT TRUST ME, ONCE YOUR MIND AND BODY GETS DEPENDANT IT'S ALL HELL AFTER THAT...

Hey TDC I just remembered a plant you have not done, you need to do straight tobacco, I really wanna know what alkaloids and what receptors they use. Besides nicotine of course lol

opiods are bad for recreational use, obviously, but by the media only saying it’s bad without explaining anything or explaining doses and overdoses, people just won’t listen and end up taking too much. good video man
