Interesting issue; all bands are touring at the same time. Also not having reliable busses. Seems like that's a business opportunity for someone.

Very interesting perspective from Tobias, really gives an insight on the scene of touring. I hope to be able to see Ghost soon!

This band has earned my respects, in many ways. It's good to see good bands keeping it real with their fans! Long live rock and metal!

Dear Tobias, If you come to Buffalo, NY, I will schlep all of your equipment by myself…into my backyard…for my personal concert.

I wouldn’t doubt cost of fuel heavily impacting things. As a gig worker(food delivery) the cost to profit ratio went into the gutter. Use to go to the local truck stop regularly and see diesel is like $6.50/gallon. The tanks that are filled are a few hundred gallons. We’ve really got bent over and our cheeks clapped by 2020.

The cost of fuel could be helped a little bit. We attended Ghost's show on September 16 2022, and when getting around the stadium, we noticed that EVERY SINGLE tour bus (at least 8, though there may have been more on the other street) had their engine idling. Not blaming the band for any of it, but I presume the bus drivers could have taken it easy.

Lack of tour busses, cost of flights, inflation, currency exchange internationally, etc... Are affecting bands

This is hilarious because bands could make more money if Ticketmaster/Live Nation wasn’t taking $22 for every ticket in fees on top of what they already charge everyone else. The music industry is in bed with a group that wants to control venues and artists, it doesn’t end well for anyone. Sadly you’ve become a part of that machine.

Metallic and Megadeth cut from the same cloth still crushing it. Even Anthrax is making a comeback. Kind of kewl. Like when it all started.

This is why Metallica thrives in live shows and being on the road. While people can question their ability to play their music well these days, on the business side they know what they're doing from managing their brand to the road crew and tour management.

I went to my first ritual in August 2022 and for sure will be going in September 2023!!! Great show. Phenomenal band!

I was in the business (touring with a major band) huge metal act in the late 80s early 90s. That’s been a issue always, fuel cost. Hotel stays, diesel fuel for busses and trailers, venue union times for workers. That all comes out the band’s ass. There’s a reason back in the day major acts performed 6 nights a week. The day your off you still got feed the troops (crew). Anybody remember MC Hammer? True story, I will never forget this around 1990. We stayed at the same hotel as him one night. This dude had 9 tour buses with him and had 160 crew roughly, 30 of them were dancers on stage. Can you imagine the hotel bill he received? . It was a industry joke. He’ll be broke. And that’s happened. I can only imagine the cost for fueling tour busses now. They never turn them off. So I believe this dude.

Ghost is an awesome rock band! I dont see them as heavy metal though. Tobias is not the screamer type of person in a heavy metal genre. He and his band mates are true professionals unlike so many of these other acts on the road now.

Bro I had Roger Waters, and two Rammstein shows on the same week. I’m gonna have to bust a helluva mission.
