Guild Wars 2®: Janthir Wilds™ introduced homesteads and our amazing community has shared some of their incredible creations with us! Homesteads are an account-wide personal housing instance for you to customize and make your own. Homesteads present you with an area of land and a permanent structure to cultivate, decorate, and share with your friends; you can also access nodes and unlocks you've acquired for your personal story home instance in your homestead.

Guess I need to seriously apply myself to building out my homestead. Just finished the mastery line, but then I got distracted by Winter's Day. Also, I fund all my purchases crafting and selling on Black Lion market, and the homestead crafting eats up all my raw materials for the profitable stuff. Probably going to take longer for me to build it out than it does in my Second Life land/home build out projects, also profitable.

I was very surprised that my home was featured in this video :) very cool! but indeed raise the deco limit to 2000 just like in the guild hall :) or if necessary sell home templates or more limit in gemsstore

First of all, "Great work for the housing system Anet and for all creative players". Personally, I see it as an overview of how it is received by the players. Many of the things mentioned (e.g. decoration limit, fixed structures / buildings, no item preview window) will probably be eliminated when the system is expanded to include the guild halls. So I'm sitting back and relaxing :)

Just a head's up for those who don't know: The decoration system is held back by a stupid area cap limit that doesn't even allow you to fully furnish your home. The overall deco cap is also way too low and the prices for the decorations are insane.

Its a system i cannot reasonably interact with.

1. Its too expensive
2. There is no preview system before you craft a furniture piece.
3. Its dead space. You cant use it as a hub because of the group limit, you cant place vendors there, you cant do normal crafting there, you cant do anything there really (besides the nodes you can all mine with 3 clicks).

great addition, too bad is quite expensive, specially with so many other priorities for new/veteran players that also require huge ammounts of gold/time like legendaries and achievments

Homestead probably needs community workshop where people could share their homestead projects. There's too much hidden masterpieces

Love this! I've had so much fun decorating my homestead and inviting people over to trick-or-treat. I had over 100 visitors this past halloween, I even made a video showcasing the haunted maze!
