I have no issues with travellers who respect the countryside they park up on, it's the few that spoil it for the rest and leave a mess for others to clear when they're gone, that give them all a bad reputation in my honest opinion.

When I was in my early 20s and got my 1st place of my own , a little flat, a youn irish travelling family moved in not to far away, back then I had a gambling problem, and had lost the majority of my wages that week, and we became friendly while I was walking my dog, one day they visited me and said jokingly when are you gonna put the kettle on, I told them I hadn't got teabags or much else, They went down to their caravan bought me up 2 full bags of groceries, Definitely I've never forgotten the travelers kindness
