Just something to add, since I ran into an error (on Windows using CodeBlocks) and took a tangent to learn about undefined behavior.
You shouldn't try to pass ints as floats, etc. via printf in C (ex: printf("%f", dog). This leads to weird and undesired outputs because of how things are stored and used in memory, etc.
Instead it's better to use type casting, or just change the data type all together, or do something else I haven't learned yet.
