1:50 This series will need to be set in 2399 NOT 2375 if it's 24 years later. The Dominion War ended in 2375.

One thing that should be considered. That Picard would probably be retired in France. This might not be Starfleet HQ in San Francisco but Federation Headquarters in Paris. That would explain the mix of uniformed and civilians walking around and UFP HQ might have it's own 'dress/diplomatic' uniform variant because it's a place for diplomacy and not Starfleet Command.

I'm actually happy with them going back to more colorful uniforms the voyager/early ds9 era were my favorite I could see Starfleet still being militaristic while trying bring elements from a more peaceful era it would be neat if Starfleet had a more militant branch while having a branch solely dedicated to science and exploration

I hope that's not DSC Klingon in Picard series, and I also hope it's a new alien race.

God please I hope they didn't keep the crappy Klingons from Discovery...

Well.. I'm guessing that the Countdown uniforms will become canon. I really hope that they don't bring DIS-era Klingon look into the 24th/25th century.

those comm badges look a lot like a blend of the standard, and alt timeline badges from the end of the TNG

I'm really worried about the new series, after suffering the disaster that was Discovery.

The Black and Gray Uniforms are the best looking uniforms

From what ive seen Star Fleet uniforms are more unstable than Omega particles.

I just thought, if Klingons shaving their heads denotes they are at war, why didn't they do that during the dominion war?
Plus, that DSC "Klingon" could just as easily be a Reman as seen in Star Trek Nemesis. (Which would make sense if Romulus was destroyed as Remus would undoubtedly be seriously affected.)

I think the way Picard is standing there... I think it's like a "flashback image"

Another reason I doubt it is the Academy cadets would not have division assignments yet. They would not have those until assigned to an operational assignment post graduation.

The way Picard is standing, I would surmise that he is having a memory here.

Think of the U.S. in 1969. That's 24 years after World War II. Things had gone back to normal. Also, the U.S. was not still reeling from the Civil War in 1889, or 24 years after that war's end.

So, if Starfleet is back to its Next Generation / Voyager ethos, that would be entirely realistic.

They're also using some All good things tier com badges too it looks like. Or at least the stylized arrow in 2 segments with possible lines.

I personally think the wrath of Khan era uniforms (The red style) was frankly the best design that exists in the Star Trek Universe. It really carried the officer and gentleman appearance and helped to kind of ground the officers appropriately

I'm more impressed with how straight Patrick Stewart still stands.

They look very much like the Star Trek Online uniforms that were also used in the Star Trek Countdown comic the came out before the JJ Trek movie in 2009.

I think that's a statue of Picard not a Klingon.

He's doing an interview beside it for the 10 o'clock news.
