What Gregory Campbell did sealed his legend for all time. Nobody who watched that didn't immediately know that he was in trouble. He could have stayed down. With a broken leg nobody would have blamed him. Arguably he SHOULD have stayed down. He might even still be playing if he had. But because he didn't, the Bruins won the series.

It’s blocked shots that earn respect from me. Because when they block a shot and are clearly in pain but stay on and even try to block more shots, that’s dedication, and that’s hockey
Edit: Gordon’s play is an amazing example. Didn’t stop until the whistle blew.

"OFF THE FLOOR!! ON THE BOARD!! PAUL KARIYA!!" one of my favourite hockey moments ever. It gives me GOOSEBUMPS to watch this goal. That's why he's one of my favourite players of all time. :D

My favorite Sportscentre clip of all time:

Derek Jeter jumped into the crowd to catch a ball and got a scrape on his face, and left the game.
"Meanwhile in Hockey:"
Pascal Dupuis of the Penguins is sitting on the bench and pulls out a tooth, hands it to a trainer, and hops over the boards for his shift.

Soccer players pretend they're hurt, Hockey players pretend they aren't.

It’s late but Patrice Bergeron played over 5 periods of hockey with a kind of broken foot (against the leafs) and he also played with a hole in his lung, separated shoulder, broken ribs. He is under rated

Campbell finishing his shift on a broken leg will always be my favorite show of grit.

I stubbed my toe last week, while watering my spice garden, and I only cried for twenty minutes

Just a note that Paul Karia (don't think I spelled that right) has no memory of finishing that game

3:10 the absolute contrast of the announcers explaining what happened with the injury while Eric Cartman is yelling "GO KINGS GO!!" in the background xD

And Don Cherry is NOT exaggerating just how effing painful it is to take a shot off the ankle, inside off the knee, etc. I played no where near the NHL. And the shots I took off the ankles were no where near the velocity of an NHL shot. And damn, it still hurt so bad you almost do want to cry when I hit the bench. But when your out there in big games, you just don't want to let the team down, and you wanna win SO badly, you don't even think of the pain, and the adrenaline is so high, it isn't till you get off the ice, or the whistle blows. Then the pain really hits. And I remember especially when I was younger, oh man, the tears definitely came close a few times... lol
These guys are beyond tough. Honestly, it's really almost unreal the pain they play through. And there are even worse stories than these shown on here. Warriors!

No matter the team, I will always clap and cheer for this dedication.
I'm a pens fan, but hats off to the first guy, he broke his fucking leg and still finished his shift and then some.

Dedication deserves to be noticed regardless of the team or player, it's just nice to see how much they care about this game.

I mean, the guy who went into cardiac arrest on the bench for stars, got revived and first thing he asked was about finishing the game.

You will not see that in any other sports.
They're willing to die for hockey

Shoutout to the guy who kept eating his ice cream after the goal was scored at 12:39. Man knows his priorities.
