While the Peak Design Everyday Backpack is technically designed for photographers - we think that anyone can get amazing use out of it!

Available as a 20 liter or 30 liters, this is one of the best everyday carry backpacks that we have ever reviewed (assuming you can make the most out of its many features).

The Peak Design Everyday Backpack is perfect for you if…

✅ You want an EPIC daypack. This thing is next level. Case closed.

✅ You are a photographer. This backpack was designed for photographers and will help you organize your DSLR gear in ways that few other backpacks can.

✅ You love the 'futuristic' look. While it's not for everyone, we think Peak Design has created a very cool and modern-looking backpack!

The Peak Design Everyday Backpack is NOT for you if…

❌ You need a large travel backpack. Even the 30 liters is going to be too small for anything longer than 1-2 week trips. Instead, check out these packs... 👇🏼

→ Aer Travel Pack 2 → One of our favorites, 30 Liters →

→ Tortuga Travel Backpack → Durable and HUGE
**Disclaimer: The Tortuga Outbreaker Backpack is discontinued. We recommend the Tortuga Travel Backpack instead!

❌ This is not the pack for you if you want a different-looking daypack. At the end of the day, the look isn't for everyone, and there are so many other options out there … 👇🏼

→ Modern Dayfarer → More of a professional look

→ Boundary Supply Prima System → More of an adventurous look

❌This is not the pack for you if you want a simple daypack. If you are in the market for something more minimalist, check out these options… 👇🏼

→ WANDRD PRVKE → Minimal/artsy look

→ Aer Duffel Pack 3 → Minimal/urban look

It's beautiful. And should be re-named "The Luigi"

Love your reviews, especially the fact that you truly call out the the little things that no one really thinks about unless you actually live with the backpack - good and bad. Great Review.

Key leash on side pocket is one of my favorite parts of the backpack. I do not have to take my pack off to get to my keys when I need them. Also, I dont often need both pockets for water bottles, so not a big deal. If I do have a water bottle and a coffee thermos, then the keys still fit under the thermos. Love not having to open up my bag or take it off every time I need to get to my keys.

You forgot about “bye once, hold forever” community. PD has a lifetime warranty. It’s crazy, that they are actually delivering it.

I’ve tested.

Soo...even if I don’t need all that futuristic stuff, I’m buying only PD products, since broken Bellroy bag is a broken bag. But broken PD bag after 6 years is just a sign of a free upgrade 😂

Most useful review of this backpack I’ve seen so far. Great work!

I really like the structure of your videos with each segment with a clkear label of whats going on in the top right corner with it filling up as time for that segment fills. Great use of it and keeps the video clean and organised when scrolling through for details!
I'm no backback guy, but you are CRIMINALLY under subbed at only 3.49K Subs!! Your production level and clarity is of someone much higher in the game!!
Keep up the good work man!
Look forward to when you hit 500K Subs in the next few years. or 1 Mil if you keep this clean presentation up!

I'm a little late to the party but I got the 30L v2 version of this backpack and I really like it and I even got myself the Hip Belt, too and it's really amazing how good everything works together.

I have a few points to ask / mention though:

1. What exactly was annoying you about the flex dividers? I set up mine and probably won't change them for a long time. In the other Peak Design products I own I always loved the flex dividers. They can be a bit of a hassle to adjust but once you're set, you don't have to worry about it. I'm just curious what you didn't like about them.

2. The fact that the back zipper on the laptop compartment doesn't fully go around is awesome. The weight of the backpack won't hang on the zipper and potentially break it. But I agree that it can get a little tight in there.

3. I didn't notice and squeaking on the swivels... yet. Hopefully that won't happen to me because that would drive me crazy.

4. The key leash is a bit weird. It's good you can remove it. I always have my keys in my pockets.

5. Tip for improving: around 24:00 you were talking about how one side of the sternum strap is easier to remove than the other but you weren't showing it.

6. I really like your style. Very outgoing, enthusiastic and to the point. Especially the recommended alternatives to what's being reviewed in the video. Keep that going :D

Oh and the "timer" for each chapter.. love it!

I think you hit the mark about the flex panels not being that useful if you aren't storing photo gear. I got the bag cause I thought it would be so handy to compartmentalize, but it gets in the way more than it is helpful. I still keep one at the bottom for a small shelf because I was missing a front panel to store my first aid kit, but would prefer 80% of the space to be open.

as a photographer who only carries a small camera and one or two lenses, i want a lot of space for other things in a pack, and this is perfect for me, the dividers make it so easy for me, especially if i DO want to actually carry a bunch of camera stuff

I think that the bottom magnet pocket is for the external straps.

You missed the point about the shoulder straps, its so if you take one off and then do a little 'thing' the backpack will swivel around so you get a great access to the side access... I know sounds a little bit weird but it works great!
Anyway, keep up the good work! I enjoyed this clip and do a review of the Tech Pouch, it's f***ing awesome!

I actually don’t know why even though this is a type of photography backpack I use it for my college😂 I keep my textbooks, laptop, books and everything inside this backpack AND ITS AMAZING.

Dual side pockets are nice for one side with a water bottle and the other side for an umbrella or tripod. Always welcome dual pockets. The key leash in the bottle is eh I agree.

that front bottom mag pocket is for the external carry straps ;)

Would you recommend this to a college student, as I carry around an 13 inch iPad Air, with another 13.4 inch laptop with my extra charging cables plus a Bluetooth headphone. I don't need all the room for notebooks or books but could use the shelves for organization? Additionally I'm going to be using this for work, would you think the shelves and organization would be suitable for me? I additionally am not a photographer.

I wonder if the swivel strap design might be handy for wheelchair users? Being able to get the straps around the wheelchair handlebars is normally a challenge.

Dudes, your videos are killer and the quality of the videos are so good. The amount of detail you go into, and the structure of your reviews are next level. I'm really surprised you guys don't have more subscribers and views. You guys should get more credit for your work. Thanks for the info, your channel is really helping me narrow in on my bag of choice.

That pocket on the bottom front is used for their straps that latch to all the hooks on the bag to carry external items
