*I AM CHANGING MY STANCE ON THE ACCESSORY STRAPS* now that I've had more than a couple camera bags I have found that peak design made a good choice making the accessory straps the way they did and ive changed my mind about them. They're my favorite ones I've used now.

Thanks for a great video. I ended up with this bag, because of the reasons you disliked it. :D I needed an day trip bag where I can fit a single camera, maybe one extra lens and all my day trip stuff., laptop, clothes, snacks, etc. I like it, because it is NOT a full blown camera bag, but an Everyday Backpack that protects my Everyday Carry camera. :)

I personally love the loops all over the bag - I rarely use the accessory straps, but I use the loops with carabiners to put my headphones on them, a water bottle, hand sanitizer and so on. It does look a bit like a Christmas tree, but makes traveling with it SO easy. I have the leather version, and after over a year of VERY heavy use, the handles are slightly stretched, but not much. I love the magnetic opening in the bottom - I keep a spare "leash" Peak Design camera strap, together with the accessory straps - and for 90% of the time I even forget it's there, but when I need it let's say I'm in a new country, and don't want to carry the whole bag - it's amazing to have it.

This was the best review of the bag I have seen. In terms of videography you nailed it.

The part I really appreciate is this review is an actual review. It was good to hear your opinion and the features. Too many "reviews" just list features with someone just saying they like everything.

Thanks for an actual review! This was very helpful!

I have this bag since 2018. I use it daily, and I understand perfectly how it can't fit a professional usage. I'm an amateur photographer and I like having a bag that can both be my daily commute bag where I put my work stuff and my camera bag.
I have two main issues with it:
1) I replaced it twice due to the zippers failing (thanks to the lifetime warranty)
2) I have the 20l version that is absolutely the perfect size for daily use and small trips, but for travel I think the 30l is better.

It's not a 100% fully fledged camera bag, hence the name: Every day. It's for people who'd want a bag that could give them quick access for their camera ON THE GO. It's never meant to be a fully fledged, Doraemon pocket professional camera bag.

Great unbiased, one-person's review while being objective at the same time! Good job!

I love my peak design everyday backpack. I find the sweet spot is for when you are carrying a single camera and lens and then a bunch of random stuff. Usually I put my camera on the bottom, a cube of baby related stuff for my toddler in the next section, some snacks and, misc wires, batteries and cables in the next then a jacket or clothing in the top. I don’t have to dig through a bag as everything is separated and accessible from the side. I tried to switch to the Wandrd Prvke but just kept going back to the PD.

Where the PD doesn’t shine IMO is when loading it out fully with camera gear. If I’m going somewhere with multiple lenses, bodies, tripod, accessories, flashes then I don’t like the messy organization. Every time I open the side I’m worried something expensive is going to fall out and the heavier items can push down the origami dividers and shift to somewhere they shouldn’t be.

For the right outing and load out the PD is one of the best.

3:27 "I wouldn't use the side pockets for a larger tripod". Thank you. This is the info I was looking for when deciding between a 20L or 30L bag. I like the smaller size of the 20L bag. But I still wanted to carry a Manfrotto Befree tripod on the side sometimes. I have a 15" laptop and I see it would be a tight squeeze. So I think I'm going 30L now.

I bought it, tried it, and sent it back the next day. 😆 It's 4 months since I using Shimoda Explore V2 30 and I am so happy with it.

Everyone is different of course; I love the dual size access. Allows me to carry a long zoom on one side and other sets of lens on the other. Not too hard to fill the voids either. But to each his own. Good luck.

Big Peak Design fan here. If I had not bought basically, one of all their bags including the 45L travel, I would had given the Nomatic system a shot.  After using the 30L everyday backpack, I agree that the dividers are great in concept but unless you fill up the voids, it doesn't hold its shape well and my gear goes sloshing inside horizontally. I grew to love it despite the complaints you offered here but if someone is in the market, the Peter's Nomatic bag would be a great bag to consider.

The Shimado explorer series is also a strong contender t me though their straps alone will render it less urban and more nature.

I can understand nit picking for an expensive backpack like this, but might be a bit excessive in this case. Not sure I care too much about possibly going to the wrong side. Beats getting stuff damaged by just tossing it in all vertically. I like the idea of the shelves. I'm likely ordering.

I have the same bag. I also own the first Peter McKinnon camera bag and waiting for the daily, however it is already April and they haven’t yet shipped it. I was wondering with what do you clean your bag? Any cloth leaves a bit of lint on the bag, as the surface is pretty rough ;)

This is an excellent video. I was on the fence about Peak Design's bag. I learned this may not be the best photographer bag but it may be great for other things, especially with Peak Designs innovations within the. bag. I am looking for a great travel backpack with several storage options for computer, iPad, clothes and documents (books, notebooks, passport, etc). I thought the PD Everyday bag might be prone to only photographers, and not travelers that use iPhones for their cameras (like me). Turns out I am the perfect target market for this bag. Thank you for the review,

Often times this type of backpack would get the standard tech-esque review at launch time and then you wouldn't see how it fares after months of use. (bags age differently than glass/tech who would have thought) Thanks Sam, this review super useful!

One of the more helpful PD videos I've watched. Thanks for taking the time. I just bought the PGYTECH OneMo Backpack. I filled it out last night and so far I'm really impressed.
