I’m honestly not worried at all. The smarter the AI is the more complicated programs we can create. That’s like programmers that use COBOL being afraid of Java, and programmers using Java being afraid of all the options of c based languages today.

Our jobs are secure guys we’re probably just going to be making cooler stuff.

I use Copilot every day. It's like a very fancy autofill, but about 30% of the time it'll try to spam the same thing tons of times in a row. We have a long way to go.

It's just a fancy crowd sourced autocomplete. It can't solve new, complex problems, let alone debug them

Also they can't come up with new innovative code since they only based on existing information. When the language is new they don't work.

I'm not scared.
In my opinion as long as not everything is automated programmers will still exist. And if everything is automated then you as a programmer can sit back and enjoy.
