The thermal pads, once the GPU is opened, it is convenient to take advantage of and change them to extend the life of the graphics card. Rejecting them after being used for 2 years, for example, is counterproductive, even if the 3070 FE does not overheat the gddr6 memories, the vrms are set to 80 degrees!

Ive got a nearly 2 year old 3070 from Dell... its got a different head sink / vapor chamber etc. over all I followed all of the steps and removed all of the screws but could NOT for the life of me separate the board to access the GPU chip to replace the thermal compound. Just wondering if you have ever taken apart a Dell built 3070? I was really stumped and disappointed because it almost seemed like they made it so I cannot take it apart to clean / replace thermal compound which sucks because my thermals have started to rise over the last 2 years from a zero fan operation at no load and around 44 degree C to a 700 rpm fan speed to maintain the same temp... so I would very much like to replace the Thermal compound as I suspect its hardened and is not as efficient as when the unit was first produced.

Esse modelo founders edition é incrível, pena que aqui no Brasil não seja vendido... em 2021 comprei uma Aorus RTX 3080 Xtreme... mas de longe tem essa qualidade das originais GeForce

Did you see any improvements with the mx4 thermal paste compared to the stock one? I have been thinking about doing this in order to get my gpu temps down a few degrees
