I just had my pacemaker replaced with an IV sedation and I’m telling you I woke up just like they said. I felt like I’d just woken up from a great nap. No grogginess or nausea or spaced out feelings. I was truly amazed at how well I felt. I had a great anesthesiologist, Dr. Foster. She was wonder.

As someone who’s had many procedures that required propofol, not once did I ever not wake back up without a headache or nauseated

Not me, for some reason I wake up violent. Ativan and fentanyl both make me black out and rage. It does it to both of my parents as well. Drs still cannot tell me why we react that way to medications that shouldn't do that.

I got no pain 8 weeks now .

No fentanyl for me...does NOTHING...no pain relief, only anxiety, acute pain, depression. Now, ketamine...a wonder drug for me, no pain, no depression, felt on top of the world. I pray I have no more surgery ever, and feel for all those going through it today. Every anaesthetist seems to do it differently.

Propofol? So they're actually knocking you out as opposed to sedating you but keeping you awake? Why can't this be done for dental work?

I don't understand this difference except the fact that there is no tube going down the throat. Same meds so what's the big effin deal with what they are doing compared to what they call general anesthesia?
