Tosin almost moved to Sweden with his girlfriend when he quit. Could you imagine how different many peoples lives would be if that had happened. Kinda makes you think huh?

Tosin always tell this story in interviews. He always gives thanks to Misha for always being the reason why he is still playing.

He was just so far ahead of his time... I'm glad he stuck around. I've seen animals as leaders live at least twice... he does not mess up 🎉 perfecto

To think of all that beautiful music we would not have heard.

If you believe in the art you create, eventually you'll find your audience. Tosin is a one in a million guitarist but his story is one that many musicians share. Almost giving up before finally taking off. Having Misha was definitely his secret weapon. Every musician needs a Misha 💙

If Tosin quit my life would not be nearly as open minded and interesting as it is today. When I first heard CAFO in 2010 I was exposed to something I never heard of and then many other bands influenced by shortly after. Just saw AAL and my other favorite Plini in BK the other day and it was the best show I’ve ever seen

Bro...Micha apparently BEEN that dude. Periphery got me through my last deployment years ago, finding out he's involved with my favorite guitarist just makes my heart happy

I live under a rock so this is news to me. Misha is a musical legend man. He has always impressed me. The fact he influenced Tosin to be Tosin is truly wild

I saw a reflux four times. They’re one of my favorite bands growing up. They were underground prog Hardcore group. Evan Brewer played with them, one of the best bassists in today’s metal. A lot of people don’t know this, but he was literally the first bassist to use the double thumb techniques and all those Victor Wooten born techniques in metal because he grew up being taught by Reggie Wooten, Victor Wooten’s brother when he was a teenager. And the reason why I mention that is because he then showed Tosin all of those techniques that he uses today before anyone was even doing it in the heavier styles. See how fate works? It was an honor meeting and hanging out with them when I was a teenager. These guys were on a whole other level even back then when they were in their early 20s. They are truly cool dudes and it was unbelievable to me at the time because I was such a huge fan, I went and ate dinner with them and hung out when they were in town as I was just in high school. But if it wasn’t for that band, Animals As Leaders wouldn’t be who they are today at this period in time. I still have the original Reflux cds from those shows.. above the pyramid and the eye!

Edit: I have to add this for the animals as leaders fans: I’m a bass player that was a fan of Evan Brewer, that’s how I was hanging out with them at the time. So I jammed with him and he gave me some free lessons, he’s the one that taught me those techniques as well when I was first starting to play slap bass at age 15.. so we were all in the back of the van before they played and Evan was showing me the double thumb technique along with the open hammer pluck, Tosin was there messing around with the double thumb too but wasn’t proficient at it yet he just kind of hung out as Evan showed me some of that stuff and was playing around with it too like I was.. that’s crazy. I heard Physical Education for the first time and instantly remembered that moment all those years ago

I met tosin when he was in reflux . My best friend was good friends with ash . We went to go see them at show in columbia south Carolina. Their vam broke down on the way to the gig. Ash asked us to come pick them up as they was waiting on a tow truck . I manage to squeeze the whole band into my jeep Cherokee sport and drove to the nearest exit . We had waffle house and they got a hotel room i got to chill and chat with tosin for a few hours i keep telling how blown away i was by his playing he was simple and humble guy about it ....

Misha is an excellent collector of people. The amount of amazing projects and bands he's had his hands on is truly impressive.

AAL was never a solo project. He's always made it clear that it was never meant to be so egotistical.

I’ll never understand flashing subtitles in shorts.
We still as the viewer have full control of toggling subtitles on and off with those three little dots top right of the screen.
It’s so distracting.
