How to easily & quickly remove / change / replace GU10 & GU24 spotlight light bulbs (WITHOUT TOOLS)
Показать описание
GU10 and GU24 spotlight light bulbs can be really tricky and time-consuming to remove or replace. I came up with a little hack to remove GU10 and GU24 light bulbs with out any tools, making replacing these pesky bulbs a breeze. This trick works for both LED and halogen GU10 and GU24 bulbs.
What are GU10 and GU24 bulbs? GU10 and GU24 bulbs are classified as twist and lock bases are different from your typical Edison screw bulbs. Bulbs with this base have 2 pins protruding from the bottom, instead of the usual screw-in base. The difference between GU10 and GU24 bulbs is the distance between the pins of the bayonet bases. The GU10 base has the pins 10mm apart, the G24 base has the pins 24mm apart.
To install the bulb, you would insert the pins into the corresponding holes in a socket and twist the light bulb to lock it into place. This can be tricky with some hard to reach fixtures, so my simple technique helps speed things up.
Works for fitting new GU10 bulbs too.
