Most people have Stiff BACKS, here's how to fix.

How often do you hang? 🦥 Hanging from a bar is becoming more popular because it works. It helps release stiff back and shoulder muscles and improves the connection from your hand to your spine.

But another worthy form of hanging is the horizontal hang. This variation puts more stretch on your lat muscles and even helps you stretch the side of your torso, targeting those tricky-to-release muscles like the QL, obliques, and intercostals. Plus you don’t need a bar or anything overhead, just a sturdy object at hip height to hold onto.

Next time you wake up with a stiff back or need to stretch out your spine after hunching over a computer, give the horizontal hang a try. Let us know how it goes in the comments below. #shorts #youtubeshorts

….make sure the bar is well secured. I broke a towel rack off the wall because it was not intended to bear that much weight.

I have just done this stretch, my back cracked into place and tbh I feel so good now. Best that I have felt in a long time.

I'm an inpatient Physiotherapist so we do a lot of assisted movements with patients. I stretch like this at least once a day at the nurses station and get asked what the heck I am doing but it feels amazing for your muscles. With that said, if you have back pain that isn't going away with stretching and plenty of movement, seek advice from a physiotherapist or doctor cause not all back pain is muscular.

I inadvertently discovered this a few weeks ago after my lower back was stiff from sitting for work, and this works so great to relieve that side and low back pain. Truly a game changing stretch

I’ve been doing this for years lmao! It used to drive my mom crazy because she thought I would rip off our kitchen sink and now my girlfriend gives me a hard time for stretching on everything lmao. I feel validated, thank y’all!

I feel like you two really enjoy doing this exercise together. Especially when you get to make corrections to each other.

This just helped me discover an imbalance. Pulling on my right arm with my leg back is needing some serious attention. Great stretch. Thank you

My physiotherapist taught me this years ago for gentle spinal decompression

as someone who suffers from chronic self imposed laziness... the best way to improve your posture while standing at work or anywhere is to widen your stance to 2ft or more apart. that discourages slouching and forces you to stay slightly leaned back to improve standing straight. and over time it helps increase your ability to stand all day

I do this all the time to pop my spine back into alignment. My fiancé can hear the pops from the other side of the room!😅 I have metal rods from my neck to my hips and can feel them shift up or down when I allow my weight to fall off from my rods otherwise I’m in pain 24/7.
