I dont think people realised how serious shearer took his career, how no nonsense he was, he had almost like a michael jordan approach to games in terms of mindset, he wouldnt even talk to players in the squad not good enough to get into the team, players had a healthy fear/respect for him...i dont think he would have bottled asking eric for pens, eric would never have give them to him tho lol
