I had 8.2 OGPA in my undergrad degree ( BVSc & AH) but on WES evaluation I got a 4/4 GPA. So, I guess it also depends upon the degree.

I have 9.13 GPA but it is equivalent to only 75-76%. My college is quite strict in giving marks.

RGPV University is the worst in giving marks. I studied so hard for my organic chemistry exam, I had A in both sessional tests. My final exam also went so good, they still gave me a D. I cried the whole night because its also one of my favourite subjects. They are really playing with our future. I don't think they read even 2 of my answers out of 5.

according to scholaro, i have a 3.500, which is great, but my university made us do a ton of useless/fluff subjects like behavioral sciences, business communication, law, history, economics and sociology so i wonder if universities would consider that during evaluation or not

As you know in india, we get percentage on a scale of 100, so the gpa is calculated using percentage only ?

Its easy to score 9.x gpa in a tier 3 college but v difficult to score high gpa in tier 1 college.

Another thing is depending on program also. 7.5 can go to Stanford in Chemical Engineering 😢, but CS and EE can't.
