As an Eastern European John Malkovich captured something that is incredibly authentic and rare. It's like he mastered the whole menu and started to get creative with it in a way that just makes sense.

I think it is a purposeful caricature not intended to be realistic at all. A lot of his work has a cartoonish aspect to it that i personally find quite enjoyable.
