Hollow Knight Skin Showcase - Baby Mantis

After a month(ish), this little monster is done!

I'm also planning to upload a short video in which I talk a bit about the process of making this skin so stay tuned for that if interested :^)

As someone who has never played hollow night I suddenly have the urge to become a tiny mantis

ok here are my two head canons as to why the mantis's (manti?) don't accept you despite being a mantis
1. you aren't fully a mantis but rather a hyrbrid between a mantis and whatever void shit the vessels are made of. this fits well with the rest of the story too since ya know shade stuff
2. you're the younger sibling of the traitor's daughter. the mantis consider you an outcast as well and you have to prove your place back into your tribe
or maybe a combo of both?

I am SO IMPRESSED with how many animations you did here!! It’s unusual (in my experience) to have skins that include all of the animations (in particular the ones that only happen once or twice (the web trap in Beast’s Den, picking up the dream nail, challenging the mantis lords/the radiance, etc.)). I really don’t blame people who create skins for that, btw, redrawing all those frames sounds legitimately painful :’) which is why it’s so impressive that you did

This is legitimately really cool. Also, I had no idea hitting bugs from above was a technique. Could have saved me a lot during my playthrough. I’ve gotten this far but I still oughta git gud.

This is more of a juvenile to sub adult mantis as it still has some wings but also has its claws

This skin is phenomenal been using it for a unofficial speed run they animated EVERYTHING the hornet 2 cutscene was especially cool :D

Хотя нифига не понятно, как это создание умудрилось появиться на свет, ведь все Сосуды были рукотворными творениями, исключением из которого является Хорнет. Виноват что прикапываюсь к деталям, но богомол владеющий силами бездны...
Ещё раз виноват, просто я люблю когда всё логично и стройно, а не хаотично и бездумно.
