Very few drinks are quite as easy or rewarding to make as turbo ciders, you need little very little equipment to get started and so it's a great way to dip your toe into the hobby.

An amazing way to take your Turbo ciders to the next level is to dry hop them for a huge boost in flavour.

Hi Daryl, I made a turbo cider last July with green apple juice (Granny smith juice from the store) Kviek yeast and dry hopped with citra hop, it was 26 degrees celcius in my apartment so the kviek went wild the smell in my press was wonderful, after bottling and a few weeks patients we had a family Bbq in the park, my cider was a hit, it was a super ipa cider! The kviek and citra gave so many flavors it was delicious, I'm going to do it again this year

Great video! I love hopped cider so much, probably my favorite of all the ciders I've made. And fun to experiment with different hops!

I use a combination of Citra, Centennial and Mosaic in two stages. One at the beginning and the other 3-4 days before final racking. The YouTube channel called "Doing The Most" has done a lot of testing with different hop combinations. I normally make it with fresh cider but have had great results with concentrate. Enjoy!

Hopped ciders are fairly popular in the USA. Generally are great go to ciders

Interesting! Never thought about doing hopped ciders but sounds really good, dry hopped during high krausen will promote "biotransformation" which is key for styles like NEIPA. Definitely can get some great fruity aromas!

Your description of the hop version does sound a lot like Black Rat Cider that's available in some pubs in the midlands. It's my fav drink in Birmingham.

I've always found turbo cider turns out incredibly dry, and, like you said, lacking that apple taste which I don't mind but it's not to some of my friends taste. Last month I remembered I had two demi John's that I'd left for perhaps 8 - 10 months and wow, what a difference the ageing made, some sweetness and apple taste had returned and it tastes great, well worth ageing if you have the patience.

You absolutely can back sweeten and still bottle carbonate...
1. Rack to a second container
2. Add sugar tasting as you go until desired sweetness... I like 1/4 to 1/2 cup per gallon.
3. Cap your glass bottles, BUT fill one plastic soda bottle.
4. Evey 12 hours squeeze your plastic bottle. As soon as it's hard you are done carbonating... important to note carbing will be done in 12 to 36 hours! It's not going to take a week like beer does, because there will be a lot of sugar.
5. Pasteurize your bottles by bringing water to a boil, turning off the heat, adding room temp bottles, and using low heat to hold the bottles at 160 to 170 for 40 minutes. A sous vide machine makes this even easier put a stove top and a thermometer work just as well. You can also place in a water bath and put the bottles in the oven or electric smoker as long as the air temp inside the oven is below 200 F.

I’ve not brewed pineapple cider/wine from juice, but have used fresh pineapple to make a popular Mexican beverage called tepache. Easy and tasty.

On the pineapple topic: look for commercial Tepachè. This is just amazing shit especially if you screwed up a home brew and use it to make the beer more interesting.

Brand new brewer (everything is still in ferm). I recently heard about Kveik, but was turned off when I saw the high ferm temps. What was the average temp of your ferm?

Hello, when do you add the hops and about the carbonation for the bottle, if it is for 20 liters, how much would you add?

Hey! How much sugar would you use per bottle?
