Join Jack Haines of YachtBuyer as he presents an in-depth walkaround tour of the Aquila 50 Yacht Power Catamaran.

Starting at the spacious aft cockpit, Jack highlights the U-shaped seating area, perfect for alfresco dining and relaxation. Moving to the expansive flybridge, he showcases the upper helm station, additional seating, and the optional retractable sunshade, emphasizing the design's focus on outdoor entertainment. At the helm station, Jack discusses the ergonomic layout and advanced navigation systems that provide the captain with optimal control.

Inside, Jack guides viewers through the luxurious saloon, featuring a U-shaped sofa and dining table bathed in natural light from large hull windows. He explores the standard three-cabin layout, including the revolutionary single-level, full-beam master suite, and notes the optional four-cabin configuration for larger groups. Descending into the engine room, Jack details the twin Volvo Penta D6 engines, each delivering 380 horsepower, enabling a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots. Throughout the tour, he provides key specifications such as the yacht's 52'2" length overall, 25'6" beam, and 423-gallon fuel capacity, offering insights into the Aquila 50's performance and capabilities.

This is the fourth tour of this boat that I have seen. Nobody provides the level of detail on what is important to a captain than Jack Haines does. It's a pleasure to watch him go through a boat.

I think Aquila missed the point on this one instead of offering a fully enclosed Helm station like the 54 and 70 as an option. they could’ve did a semi close one I think that would’ve worked out real nice. It’s a very nice yacht. Oh well cheers Jack nice review

I think this is the first power cat I have seen that has got the layout right. It looks good as well. Excellent boat and great review as always.

The space on offer is seriously impressive and not just the flybridge or enormous master cabin, the utility room and the gigantic fridge are the hidden gems and what you really want when living on board.
Fantastic tour as always Jack keep up the good work 👍

I am getting to like Cats more and more and this one is very nice, if you want space above all then a Cat is the way to go, I would have the three cabin option it works well. I think this is a luxurious yacht, the finishes and quality are there. Great tour Jack thank you.

Wow Jack, that's an incredible boat for 50 feet!
I skippered an Aquila 48 powercat in BVI for a while, but this is next level.
That owners cabin is class leading! 👍

That flybridge is something else! Glad they added all the hand holds, not something you see on many of these boats- safety first.

Great tour of this vessel!!! I didn't think the 50 would be this spacious and so nice. The utility room is fantastic but I would add an open top freezer along with the washer and dryer in there. I also think a hard enclosure up top would be better. Thanks!!

She is a great package, charter or family boat. Great cabins, that master is awesome.
She has everything you need for a holiday boat, live aboard, weekender, island hopper boat. Caribbean or Mediterranean boat. She'll do well. Like her she'll do well.

Great boat! I really like the way Aquila uses space. Hope you get to do a sea trial of the foil boat. I really liked the 36 with the foil. It would be super interesting to see how a much bigger boat handled with the foil.

Great review Jack and team, thank you. Great boat in most aspects.

I like the idea of cats over mono, but UK mooring can be double the cost due to the beam 😮

Really enjoy the reviews. I'm looking for Great Loop capability. Would you please add that single qualification to your reviews, please. I think the beam limit at Big Chute hinders this boat. Oh and how about adding the air draft or sticky uppy outy water height. (Yeah, I got super technical there). All in all, wonderful reviews, very well presented, I've learned much from you, Jack. Thank you.

Your reviews are just great, Its everything I want to know about a boat before I might want to buy one, and in a great format. Of course YT recommends others to me but they dont have the same knowledge, I feel anyway, or the presenting skills. Plus the editing and overall quality is better than a one man band holding a camera out in front of him.

Edit: Also Cats are just massive in comparison to a single hull.

A really well packaged boat, and a fantastic price in comparison to competitors. Having said that, it is a little heavy handed in areas where function very much rules over style, and it can't match the design finesse or interior styling of most European boats. You get what you pay for though and this Aquila gives you a lot of boat for that money. It will be a smash hit in the Caribbean market where everything is Aquila anyway.

Ok - great boat. I like the front patio on the 55 better I think, but terrific boat. I think that tours add value when we see a bit of the good, bad, and ugly too. I notice that you skipped a number of deck spots (I think the flybridge stairs are not included here - sorry if I am wrong - for one example) but generally, when you notice something could be improved - show us that as well. You obviously were left with the impression that there were gaps here - which Aquila would benefit to understand as well. Honesty might hurt initially, but when it comes to fit and finishings, opinions are helpful.
