Sulfur Balls of Sodom and Gomorrah

The Bible describes burning sulfur and fire raining down from the sky which permanently destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:24). Is there any evidence still left in the geological record that matches the Bible’s description of what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah?

My theory is that the closer we get to Jesus'second coming the more biblical evidence will be found. That's just my thought.

From what I've heard and read, the sulfur balls in that area are about 98% pure sulfur. Not found anywhere else on earth. Most sulfur on the planet is somewhere in the 40% range.

What blows my mind is the region of sodom and gomorrah, according to the bible, was so lush and green that when Abraham told Lot to choose where he would go, Lot chose it because of the grass he would be able to feed his flocks . It is hard to imagine now. Incredible .

The fact someone can go there and just pick up skulls out the dirt like it's nothing, is crazy. God searched those cities for righteous people and found only 1 man and his family. Out of hundreds of thousands of people. His grace for us at the moment is unbounding 🙏🏽😩

I LOVE Biblical archeology! This story amazes me bc pure sulfur balls on fire just don’t rain down from the sky, unless by the will of God. There is no other explanation for it.

I saw a documentary about these sulphur balls. They said that the sulphur was way purer than anywhere found in nature anywhere. Mixed with small flakes of magnesium....pretty crazy material
