Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure that nincada -> shedinja is the only evolution to decrease in base stat total

Is losing a few points in one stat but the others getting boosts really getting weaker? Like with Ampharos to its Mega its special Atk goes from 115 to 165 and its special defense from 90 to 110 yeah its speed goes from 55 to 45 but its overall stat in mega form is 610 and its normal is 510. Onix to Steelix...i mean Steelix’s base stat is 510 and Onix’s is 385 yes Steelix is slower but does that mean it’s weaker?

Megas always get +100 in BST, but some sacrifice others to further increase stats, like Mega Garchomp losing Speed, but having much more Attack

I disagree with several Pokémon on this list, especially Steelix and Tangrowth, because they aren’t made to be fast sweepers, they’re meant to tank and dish out hits. Even poliwrath and politoed fit that description, to an extent.
Edit: Also, It’s Mega Mewtwo Y that loses 20 points in defense.
Mega Mewtwo X gets +10 to both defenses.

You forgot torrocat evolving to incineroar... going from 90 speed to 65 i believe which sucks for battle tbh!!

It should of done pikachu evolving into raichu because pikachu loses speed when it evolves and in the anime pikachu wins a fight with richu

Remoraid evolving into Octillary is based more on how the two resemble weapons. Remoraid is shaped like a gun, while Octillary, with a little imagination, resembles a tank.

Volcarona is a special attacker so a physical attack stat would only hinder it in the form of hurting itself in confusion and foul play damage. So it's pretty arguable that losing physical attack is even a bad thing

Anyone else surprised that he didn’t include Torracat evolving into Incineroar? It goes from a base Speed of 90 down to a base Speed of 60.

There's also Turtwig we all remember what happened to Ash's Turtwig when it evolved into Groto and Torterra it lost all it battle.
