Who are those people beside veterinarians? What's the schooling they have to do? What's the difference between a registered vet tech vs a vet tech? This week The Bow Tie Vet Guy and Jessie the Vet Tech talk about her recent achievement of becoming a registered vet tech and how she got there.

Everyone should be registered from the beginning. The vet tech low pay is due to those non-registered vet techs.

Fantastic news Jessie!
I love the vet techs at the hospital I take my cats to. One has chronic kidney disease, IRIS stage 2. We bring him in a day or 2 before we have our every 90 day check ins with the Dr. and the techs draw blood and urine. They are so kind to him, once when they were taking him to the back I think I overheard one say to the other, “this guy is an easy one”, I feel like they genuinely love my cat the way they handle him. I’ve been to other clinics where they seem like they are just going through the motions. The Medical Director, Head Vet I guess does a good job hiring. And luckily he is our Dr. As some of the other vets there seemed more dog orientated and detached from cats. My vet knows cat and now he is coming in on days off to spay and neuter TNR cats for just about free. Bless those who care for the animals.
PS. Jessie if you want to make side cash, do medical pet sitting. The girl that did it for me (also registered Vet tech)was great, she gave my guy his fluids, meds, made sure the other cats ate their food separately. For in home service it was more expensive than boarding, but worth it and I compensated her VERY well.
