I love the subtle context here. Here's the rub of the situation:
-Jack wants the heart/immortality
-Will wants to save his dad
-Elizabeth wants Beckett dead
-Barbossa wants to free Calypso

So here's Elizabeth's plan: Exchange Will for Jack to bring Will safely back to their side, and get Jack close to the heart by being on the Dutchman. Barbossa takes Jack's Piece Of Eight to free Calypso and give them a fighting chance.
The endgame plan was originally this: Jack kills Jones and becomes captain of the Dutchman, Barbossa becomes captain of the Pearl. They kill Beckett with the Pearl and Dutchman. Jack frees Will's father thus allowing Will to be with Elizabeth while Jack and Barbossa control the 2 most legendary unsinkable ships in the world.
