SNARE protein mediated membrane fusion and disassembly of SNARE complex

From neuronal communications to NSF mediated SNARE complex disassembly. For neuronal communications, synaptic vesicles fuse to the plasma membrane using SNARE proteins to release neurotransmitters. It is well known that SNARE proteins are the minimal machinery for vesicle fusion, and they form a coiled-coil structure. After vesicle fusion, SNARE proteins are disassembled by NSF/SNAP proteins and the SNARE proteins are reused. It is now confirmed that NSF disassembles a single SNARE complex utilizing one-round ATP hydrolysis and in one-step reaction via a spring-loaded mechanism.

Fearfully complicated what’s going on trillions of times in our bodies! Thank you.

Nice! but if you put some names of the molecules involved it would be way better!

Thanks a lot for this marvelous animation

It's really liked the animation. I am puzzling over making 3d bilipid membranes. Can you tell me how you made the vesicle flow into the membrane?

Stunning work.
Subhanallah.
Anyone who thinks the near undine examples of exquisite engineering are due to the clumsy mechanisms of evolution, hasnt reflected deeply enough.

Very nice simulation and would love to use it for my presentation. How should I cite it to keep your copyrights?

im a little confused on how the growth of surface area is compensated for.... does it really just gain surface repeatedly like that?

just out of curiosity, every time the nuerone fires its plasma membrane it is constantly growing ?

I wish someone would explain the big questions How this came about and why this happens .

awesome anim! thanks for sharing! curious, 0:23 what does the flash in the visualization symbolize? what happens when the blue and red colored SNARE components bind at the protein level (what is the nature and precondition of the binding established)? is that binding influenced by the Ca2+ influx resulting from an incoming AP?

what happened to the V-snare (in blue) after the action of the ATPase? It just disappeared?

But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened
And that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger
And that feels so rough
You didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records
And then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
