Yamaha's new XMAX pairing instructions

Yamaha's new XMAX adapted the new instrument cluster can display information from the user’s smartphone
as well as function as an onboard navigation system.
The cluster consists of a 4.2-inch color TFT infotainment display and a 3.2-inch speedometer display.

What you can do with this new meter

1. This instrument cluster enables connectivity between the bike and the user’s smartphone.
By installing the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect) app,receive phone calls or email/texts
as well as perform other operations, such as correcting the time displayed on the clock.
Also, the user can access and check information about the bike on the smartphone app,
such as machine running history.

2. Onboard navigation system
By installing the Garmin StreetCross navigation app for motorcycles on the user’s smartphone,

Can't it be made easier, just like cars do with carplay and android auto?
Also i gotta as since i've seen some other motorcycle brands system, if you lock the phone screen, the maps keep working or does the vehicle screen turn black?

Mine lose its ability to receive calls and messages notification. No idea how but it once has notification that permission to access call and messages apps no longer accessible. Any idea how to fix this? I already re-install the app but nothing fixed

Bluetooth connection keeps dropping. How can I fix it?

Paired it once everything ok. Every time I started my bike had to open the app to connect the phone to the bike... In my car I connect automatically the moment I start up the engine...
Then I accidentaly pressed the "unpair" from the app and from that moment it never paired again....
My opinion is that it does not worth the extra money from the moment its pain in the @ss to make it work for everyday use...

How about life battery?
My last bike is NMAX, i have bad experience after connected to app via Bluetooth, past few day battery gone😢.
That's way the reason now i change to XMAX.
So I'm still worry about that😢

I can’t connect to my iphone, i can see the phone name on the bike, i can see the bike on my phone, it keeps saying connection failed. Tried deleting pairing, reinstalling app, everything and it still doesn’t work

Very bad navigation system. Each time before riding takes 10min to set up. Very annoying app... Yamaha its 2023, why you coudnt make something more user friendly and easier? Dissapointed.

I bought a new 2025 NMax Tech Max 125.

Firstly, it says the Yamaha Y-Connect is not available in Portugal.

The MyRide App is not working as it does not connect successfully, even after reinstalling several times.

If Yamaha can not get this to work, I will return the bike on misrepresentation of features.

A Company can not sell a new 2025 product and advertising a feature that is clearly not working.

Does anyone know what they mean with "don't lock your screen" or the app will have connectivity issues? I mean, i open the apps, chose the route then put the iphone in my pocket, because i have an onboard navigation. Is it expected to go to settings and choose "never lock screen"?? In which century is Yamaha and Garmin living? I have connectivity issues all the time, like every 5 minutes with a Techmax 2024. Nothing helps and the dealer says its a known issue with Iphone 14.. sure.
