ABOUT ME:

In 2018, I decided I wanted to change my life and relocate to Italy. I didn't know anyone there, I didn't speak the language and I had only visited the country twice before. Just eight months after I had made this decision, I packed up my suitcases and moved solo from London to Italy, embarking on my very first Expat experience. On paper it sounds completely bonkers but in reality it was the making of me.

On this channel I serve up a slice of real Italian life through weekly vlogs and videos. I also share tips on how to navigate life as an Expat in Italy, coping strategies, lessons learnt and my unique insight into life as a Brit in Italy.

You're so knowledgeable. As an Italian i'm quite impressed how you navigate the whole transport situation (which is not always easy in Italy). I'll definitely recommend this video to my students who wishes to visit Salerno.

OMG you are living in a beautiful small city. I visited Salerno 2 days ago and I can vouch for every detail. Everything is so easy and accessible. Beautiful shopping, coffee, cakes, food you name it. The ferry crossings are so organised and easy. My trip to the Amalfi Coast cost 9 euros one way and what an incredible day I had. Naples also is amazing I am off to Salerno for another adventure today. Thank you Claire for all your wonderful videos

Your videos on Salerno have been so informative and helpful. Thank you for sharing. I’ll be in Salerno for 5 days end November and I’ll be using it as a base for the amalfi coast. You mentioned ferries to be the best mode of transportation and I was wondering if there will still be ferries available then.

hello and thank you for wonderful informative vlogs. I am having trouble though trying to find the ferry services to Positano etc on line, the only ones I can find don't return on the same day. I really don't want to do the expensive tourist tours from Salerno where we are staying, to Positano. Rather than take the bus, we want to go by boat as you suggest, but I am not sure how to organise this and I do not want to arrive and find out I should have booked, but couldn't. We arrive in May, 2023, and looking forward to it so much. Salerno looks so beautiful. We don't want to go on an expensive 7 hour cruise if at all possible. Thank you.

Hi Ms. Britaly! Thank you for your informative videos. Is driving/parking in Salerno itself doable? We are planning to make it our base, and use the car to travel into the wineries to the northeast and south of Salerno, while taking the ferry for our Amalfi coast excursions!

Hi, we are coming to salerno at the end of August with our 2 children, 11 and 14, what recommendations do you have for families such as what to do and where to eat/drink? Loving the videos, really useful and very informative, thank you.

Thank u for the information. I will be going to Naples via a cruise this Aug. I am thinking of going to Pompeii and Amalfi from Naples. Do you think I would be able to do both using public transport and back to the boat in 11 hrs??? ... My plan is taking the:
- TRAIN from Naples to Salerno;
- FERRY from Salerno to Amalfi (will stay only and hour and half in Amalfi) ;
-then will take a bus or ferry from Amalfi back to Salerno
- Train from Salerno to Pompeii and stay a couple of hours in Pompeii;
-then Train from Pompeii to Naples.
Do u think is doable in 11 hrs?

In Salerno last day of September. Want to use Travelmar ferry to visit Amalfi and Positano. 1. Whats the chances of bad weather halting ferries late September? 2. How far ahead do you suggest one book online for a ferry ride or are there enough open spaces on the daily rides late September?
