ABOUT ME:

In 2018, I decided I wanted to change my life and relocate to Italy. I didn't know anyone there, I didn't speak the language and I had only visited the country twice before. Just eight months after I had made this decision, I packed up my suitcases and moved solo from London to Italy, embarking on my very first Expat experience. On paper it sounds completely bonkers but in reality it was the making of me.

On this channel I serve up a slice of real Italian life through weekly vlogs and videos. I also share tips on how to navigate life as an Expat in Italy, coping strategies, lessons learnt and my unique insight into life as a Brit in Italy.

Truly enjoyed your take on Salerno. Started my Italian trip in Rome and loved it, but I was able to relax and enjoy myself easier in Salerno, as it is not as fast paced. The people were mellow. Thanks for this video.

Hello! Thanks for the video. I have a question. In the coming August I'll visit Salerno. Looking forward to it.
I'm currently training for a marathon at the moment, but I will also be running in Salerno. What are some good spots to run fast? Because I'll work on my speed. A traffic free terrain with more open space would be great.

I loved the tour of Salerno and understanding on a map where all of the neighborhoods are. We have friends who live there, I believe in Torrione (boh), anyway, we had a lovely walk from their flat to the lungomare. These friends sent us a link to a new complex going up that I think is called Porta del Mare. When I win the lottery, I'll totally buy a flat there! :)

I loved all the non-negotiable you've listed. I resonated a lot with what you said. It's funny that I'm from Naples and I ended up living in Chester in the UK (which is a small city and does have a sense of community, and although it's not by the sea, there is a beautiful river)!😊

Hello Ms Britaly,

Thank you for this informative video. Planning to stay in Salerno for a month. Do you think May is the best month to go there? I am trying to avoid the high heat of the summer. I will really appreciate your recommendation.

Great video and informative as always. Salerno is a very nice manageable uncomplicated city and I can understand why you chose to live there. It's certainly been very hot and humid and to be honest it's well worth having air con. I am currently visiting Calabria and the humidity is the same. Bliss Beauty is a great recommendation. Thanks for your honest approach 👍

Funny your reasons for picking salerno are mine as well. I plan on moving there from the States (with my dog 🙃). I just think God is pulling me there. Your channel is very helpful. I am an italian citizen but idk what i’ll be doing for work yet.

Ukraine isn't the reason for higher costs. Sanctions are, and that is due to the EU politicians, SOLELY.

Do you own a car or it is possible to live without it there ?
