At this point we should just start calling it the Sad Beige Plague. It’s spreading to absolutely everything and no store is safe. Halloween is supposed to have dark/spooky colours because it’s a holiday that celebrates the dead and allows us to be spooky. Christmas is supposed to be colourful because it’s a joyous time of year. If you make all the decorations various shades of white and beige, they’re no longer decorations that celebrate the holiday. It’s not festive or fun.

As a designer my eyes are constantly craving the colors that left our daily lives, our streets, our cities and overall every aspects of our lives. All is dull and clinical. And it's makes people more depressed and dead inside than ever. We NEED colors to be HAPPY for fuck sake!!!

Omg I’m a millennial girl and I’m offended by all these crazy women giving us a bad name with their beige sadness. We grew up in the 90’s for god sakes, wear it with pride!!! Gladly I live in Mexico and unless u r in zara home u still see all pumpkins orange and beautiful. Also what ever happened to “it’s a character from a scary movie son”???? I always joke that my mother in law’s house looks like Halloween threw up on it, but it honestly looks awesome, and she always gets compliments from the neighbours. Last year one little girl said “I remember your house… you’re always the one with the awesome decorations.” The kids remember, and that’s why my MIL does it! I help her pass out candy and it’s so much fun seeing everyone ooh and aah over her decorations every year!

My doctor's office recently went sad beige. I said, at least the other location (they have two) is full of colour... then I saw a sign that explained that the other location is currently closed to renovate it. This trend really is doctor's-office-core. It used to be all dramatic jewel tones and clashing colours and it was comfortable.

Vintage old Halloween is my Halloween aesthetic. I love Halloween decor that looks like my grandma handed it down from the 50s. All the crunchy old colors and pops of bright orange, green, purple and black! Movable paper dolls and Cheshire Cat grins! My favorite! The spookier the better!!!
