Niš, Serbia Travel Vlog | Niš, Serbia is a city unlike any other. When you enter Niš, it feels like you have been transported forty years into the past into the time of Yugoslavia. Everywhere you walk feels like true Yugoslavia and it is one of the most unique parts of Europe. Niš, Serbia is more Yugoslav than Belgrade because Belgrade has modernized much the past decade with the Belgrade waterfront. Niš is the third largest city in Serbia and resides in the southeast of the country.

Sites visited: King Milan Square, Obrenovićeva, JKP Tržnica Niš, Red Cross Nazi Concentration Camp, Niš Fortress, Nišava River, Niš Ekspres, Park Čair, Niš Serbia

Belgrader here, Nish is one of the coolest cities in Serbia. I don't think people can see how much it is so, because visually it's not as appealing as some other super popular European cities. But trust me, unlike those pretty but cold cities, Nish is super friendly, super warm, super welcoming, super fun, they really like to party, all those bars and clubs on the river are packed with people till dawn.
It's such a great vibe. I can't describe it. I guess you just have to go there to experience it.
I'm going next weekend.

I love NIs, people are great and vibe is so good .It did not change since Yugoslav times excepts facades faded because all money go to Belgrade or Robne Kuce Beograd is now Zara and domestic industry was destroyed .
But there are othertowns which did change at all since Yugoslavia, like Kraljevo

Leave Nis as a hidden gem. Living in Sydney and seeing what "multiculturalism" has done to Australia, leaving Nis as a mostly Serbian hidden city is one of the best things it can do for itself. Apart from my Mrs living in Nis and in part why I am moving there, if i wanted multiculturalism, I'd move to Belgrade or Novi Sad and it is something I am moving away from. Let the ignorant ppl move there and leave Nis as or former Yugoslav.

Btw the scull tower isn't scull museum or some kind of death cult museum! It's reminder monument for the fallen serbian rebels who stood up against Ottoman empire for their fight for freedom and liberation from slavery under turks! The sculls are all scarified serbian rebels, and turks made by force leather skillers scalping their relatives or friends, they cried doing it. Turks made this tower to fright serbs, in controrary they made serbs more rebellious to get free from turkish tyranny! You should read more about Serbian history! For more read about Chegar battle and duke Stevan Sinđelić!
