2018 Jeep Wrangler | CarGurus Test Drive Review

Jeep’s Wrangler has captured and supported the American spirit for decades, from its WWII military-vehicle origins to the fourth-generation JL that debuted at the LA Auto Show in November. The Wrangler’s always had distinctive looks and capabilities, and the 2018 version maintains those, but it also improves daily drivability, efficiency, and interior look and feel, as well as offering a new soft-top that’s easier to remove and re-attach than the old one.

Right on about the side steps. Wonder how those hybrids are going to work in water.

Great review, Chris! I really appreciate how you mention the practicality aspect of cars. While, still keeping the review entertaining and informative.

Also, a plug-in hybrid model of the Wrangler would definitely be quite interesting... Keep up the great work!

For all who keep whining about the price, you can get 2 other vehicles that are just a little more off-road worthy right out of the box--Bowler Wildcat and G550 4x4 Squared. Both will only cost you about a quarter of a million.

Good job. One of the most informative review on the 2 doors. JL 2 door

Chris do you also review appliances? If so what channel? I think your review of a refrigerator would be spot on. More so than vehicles.

good to see a jeep video that doesnt have heavy metal music and actually shows the jeep instead of the wannabe famous host like so many other videos do

Very well done concise review. I don’t know how you did that review during the drive without the wind and road noise; must have had the biggest mic 🎤 muffler ever.

Good review, but one mistake: Command-Trac is standard on Sahara and Select-Trac is optional. It also features Part-Time High and Part-Time Low, as well as Full-Time High, like you mentioned.

Best review I've seen. Positives, doesn't hide the negatives. How does it tow? (I have a seven meter caravan).

Automatic engine start-stop technology you say. I cannot let the vehicle decide that for me, no amount of fuel savings makes that work.

How much did they pay you to call the jk a rattle trap ? I have a 15 willys and it's not a rattle trap

I get the price, they added more features like electronics and all, I'd say the 4 grand more is for those things plus better materials on the interior, they changed a lot, what pisses me off is that the packages are in bundles and the price is the same for the 4 door and 2 door like the roof and leather seats. I wished they had the Sahara 2 door again, that the backseats on the 4 door reclined... Or the 2 door backseats are 50/50 so you can actually take half of it out of the car so you have one passenger at the back plus some more storage...

I believe the removable hardtop rear side windows are only available on the sliding panel version of the 4 door.  Correct?

I challenge you to make a comparison between Pocket Pike B40 and Wrangler Turbo

When will they start producing the 2 door?

i enjoy this kind of vids, by all the informations it contains. But i'm always disapointed by the time lost showing us the face of the guy talking, instead of showing all details... you even have cutted to not show us the place you had for your knees on the backseat... thanks anyway !

I think some people are going to resist those heavy price increases and go for the used ones
