1.The program assist user to design :
-Air handlers
-Air flow
-Hydronics system
-Steam system

2.General procedure to create project profile as below:

-Drag and drop components onto the page.

-Enter specific component information at each component.
-Connect components in schematic form to define component relationships.
-Review the automatically generated schedules for each type of equipment.
-Save the project for later retrieval

3.Besides the air flow and hydronic schematics that can be previewed or printed, HVAC Solutions also produces numerous equipment schedules. Just some of the schedules available include: boilers, chillers, air handlers, air separators, coils, cooling towers and dampers.

4.These schedules are provided as both DXF files and spreadsheet files. This makes it easy to just print the schedules, import them directly into drawings and other documents, or manipulate the data further in a spreadsheet.

In this tutorial session, will be design basic component of an air handler unit (AHU) by using HVAC Solution software. This software has variety option of system can be used in order to do the simulation or drawing the layout of the system.

Under AHU tab there a few components can be used such as:
*AHU cabinet
*AHU plenum
*AHU fan
*Heating coil
*Cooling coil
*Hybrid coil (Heating coil with cooling coil together)

*Damper
*Louver
*Hood

Also, this software has a pre-made layout of the standard system used nowadays. And to excess this pre-made layout simply go to wizard tap that located beside the AHU tap.

HVAC Solution is a schematic diagramming and database tool for laying out the equipment involved in an hvac system. A complex hvac system often involves one or more chillers, boilers, cooling towers, numerous air handlers, fans, coils, pumps and more.

HVAC Solution enable to drag detailed icons of these components and place them on the page and then connect them with schematic pipe lines. Each of the components contains performance and sizing data that is maintained with the component.

More than just drawing pretty pictures, HVAC Solution is also an intelligent database. All pertinent data can be entered and maintained through pop-up forms for every component in the system. Once connected together, each component automatically communicates information back and forth to the other components. As the system diagram and database is being built, all the data is being updated and saved for quick retrieval or sharing with other applications.

Lecture 3: HVAC Solution Software

HVAC solution software is one of most advanced software that available for doing simulation on HVAC system. This software has the most advanced hydronic, air & steam system design software and able to uses seasonal temperature and graphical object to allow user to design based on the requirement. This software quite easy to use since its able to allow user to drag, drop and connect intelligent object for design and specification mechanical system.

Also HVAC Solution can generate a schematic diagramming and database tool for laying out the equipment used in an hvac system since complex hvac system often involves one or more chillers, boilers, cooling towers, numerous air handlers, fans, coils, pumps and more.

This software also has what call as an intelligent database. Which means that the data can be entered and maintained through pop-up forms for every component in the system. Also its able to notify the user whether the system draw is properly connected or not by showing directly on the screen.
There are few advance features HVAC Solution has comparing to FloPro & CHVAC software:

All of these air flow and hydronic items have to be carefully selected and coordinated with one another. HVAC Solution lets you drag detailed icons of these components and place them on the page and then connect them with schematic pipe lines.Each of the components contains performance and sizing data that is maintained with the component.
All pertinent data can be entered and maintained through pop-up forms for every component in the system. Once connected together, each component automatically communicates information back and forth to the other components. This allows the software to guide the designer on making sure the components are matched up and coordinated correctly.

There are three schematics as the main in design a hvac system:
1. Air handler schematic
2. Airflow schematic
3. Hydronic schematic

A air handler unit must have it own schematics, however airflow schematic is to support the flow of the air handler and the hydronic schematic is combine the system of pump or boiler or chiller. three of this are in link and work together to provide a good hvac system design.

The HVAC Solution is a a design software which includes hydronic system, air and steam system.
1) Requires load calculation from CHVAC
2) Used by HVAC consultant and designer

3) Design and size HVAC equipment based on the seasonal heating and cooling temperature extreme to get graphical description of HVAC equipment. (For project report and proposal)
4) Assist in the design of:
- Air handlers
- Air flow
- Hydronics system
- steam system
5) End results of each component is linked to the others in order to be sized properly, export info in form of schedule and schematics.


6) The air handler must be designed and built to obtain air flow schematic.
7) The hydronic schematic must be consist of of the components (boiler, pump, etc) and linked to the air flow schematic, only requires alteration from air flow schematic to change its specs.
8) Hydronic schematic component such as pump, boiler and chiller was inserted once the air flow schematic was started.

9) Load program interface used to determine the equipment size and provide equipment schedule
