Was misdiagnosed with adhd and was never diagnosed, amphetamines never helped, but when I got an injury and put on anti-epileptic pain management medication that my brain finally got fixed.

I was diagnosed with absence epilepsy when I was 8 or 9. I ended up accidentally making my elementary school teachers go through a training for it. I have been off meds since I was around 11 because I didnt really get seizures much anymore. It recently came back (last school year) and my parents don't believe that it came back. My brst friend has witnessed me have up to 5 a week at one point because it's so bad now. I think I can also feel my mind slowly begin to fall into a seizure as well because it becomes hard to focus and understand things.

I have absence seizures had them since I was little but never got diagnosed because my doctor at the time said they happen so fast and only lasts about 5-15 seconds. He also said it’s hard to notice when it happens unless it happens when someone is trying to talk to you and you don’t respond. I still get them along with myoclonic seizures usually before bed when I’m lying down trying to sleep they would always wake me up and it would happen multiple times before I actually get to sleep and sometimes it will happen during the day but rarely. I’ve been after my new doctor to send me for a CT scan or mri but he won’t do it

hi i’m rlly worried that i’m having seizures and unaware. because i’m having huge time gaps of my memory throughout the day for the last few months and i’m only 16. it’s like i go to the fridge to get juice and then i sit down but then my mom says she was talking tk me for like 2 mins and i am positive she didn’t speak to me of i didn’t hear her. or like i went to the kitchen to make tea and then my mom came and said why did i turn the light off and i have no recollection of ever turning off thy light but i would’ve had to do it like earlier

I have Epilepsy absence seizure with that comes with a lot of stereotyping; you know the first thing that comes to mind is a person who is fitting on the ground. i have absence seizures. I was diagnosed at the age of five but have been seizure free since the age of fourteen and so was taken of meds. my parents were told to treat me as a normal child and to see how fare I would develop and look at me now I have graduated high school with honors though I did hope for a regents diploma but after taking the algebra common core regent seven times starting out with a 40 and ending up with a 57, oh well. I start collage in July not august as you can infer I was not expected to do much of what I just mentioned. after my father died and the start of collage it seems I have had a relapse if that is possible.

Is it possible for this condition to happen only about 2-3 times a week? How often do the episodes occur?
