I’m 32, pale skin. I have a youthful skin, many say I look 23. I don’t smoke or drink and have a moderately healthy lifestyle. I eat mostly plant based, but I also consume eggs and sometimes shrimps or mussels. That’s it. I’ve started using retin-a few months ago to prevent any damage to my skin.

Sunscreen and Retin-A have been my companions since I was a young woman and I'm blessed with amazing genes. Not to mention taking great care of my skin. Botox? I've had it. Not in love with how I look after but, because of you and your videos, I definitely see Sculptra in my near future.

I watch you all the time, I’ve learned a great deal from you and all your experience. My father told me never trust someone who wears sunglasses when they speak to you. It’s rude and you can’t have a honest conversation when you can’t see someone’s eyes. Just a FYI

Mammoth self reflection comment warning ⚠️ 🤣🤣:
It’s funny in the U.K. I think the ‘prevention’ part gets missed by a lot of teens - early 20 yr olds . I remember as a kid when we went away on holiday somewhere hot ( and as the ghostly pale skin type that I am 🤣) my parents would slather sun cream all over me every few hours and make me wear a tshirt in the pool in on top of my swim costume . Ironically my mother smoked and still uses sun beds to this day ( 😱😱) But I reached my teens and unless I went away on holiday I didn’t give the sun a second thought - then I hit my late teens- 20’s and where I worked always had plenty of women magazines in the break room ( cosmopolitan type ones) so I would read them on my lunch and be like oh all I need is a foundation / makeup with spf in it then I’m good - (haha oh bless me!) . I always had the problem of looking too young and having to prove my age .. frustrating when your young so I was definitely never trying to look younger!! I thought I was invincible and would never get old - let alone die one day lol !
But then YouTube / smart phones became a thing as I approached mid 20’s -30’s, and had my kids - it meant I had more time at home in the evenings when I wasn’t at work - hence more time to research into makeup .. which then became health and skin care and here I am at 36. It’s only since 30 that I have religiously worn spf 50 ( even on the gloomiest U.K. winter days ) I think I’ve been very lucky as Ive never been into tanning or being out in the sun -it drains me, I prefer to be out when it starts to set ..but one thing I am trying to do is teach my 11 yr old to use sun screen daily . Since 10 she developed her first puberty related acne. So I jumped on the chance to set her up with a gentle, simple skin care routine ( she loves my niacinamide and zinc as it clears her spots up ) but after she washes/showers in the morning and applies niacinamide- SUNSCREEN is the next thing she reaches for . My theory being to make it as normal as brushing her teeth Am/Pm then ( hopefully) it will be a habit that sticks with her throughout her teens / 20’s + and she will pass it onto her own kids one day. Investing a bit more into a nice face sunscreen that’s sinks into the skin is well worth it IMO as it makes kids more likely to tolerate it compared with that greasy sticky feeling they get from regular child sun screens . Do the best you can do today for your own skin but definitely set the little ones in your life up with a good example and educate them to be aware that skin health is important - just like teeth / weight / food etc . As a bonus their reward will be not hitting 30 and thinking ‘oh crap - I’m beyond prevention what can I do to get rid of A, B, C’ ( mammoth mind vomit over 🤪 if you got this far, you deserve an Easter egg, on me! lol 🐣)

Hi Dr Rajani! Would you please do a video on elastin? I saw some comments last week saying that microneedling breaks our elastin which doesn’t regenerate so I’m worried! Thanks :)

You're not even a plastic surgeon you're a family medicine doctor. Many regular doctors get training to do procedures by taking classes and training for the big money on aesthetics. I would use a board certified plastic surgeon that does aesthetic works, the understand and are trained to understand facial structure and anatomy.
