Accepting that we cannot control other people's drinking is a huge step. We want what is best for them, don't we? Can't they see that? What we didn't understand before finding this program was that each individual is on a unique journey. What appears to us the best course to follow may not provide the lessons another person is here to learn. And it may be dawning on us that one of our key lessons is how to give up trying to control someone else.

UN pretends to want peace but take steps that ensure without a sliver of doubt that it would cause WAR. For example. The new resolution at the UN gives the Palestinians the Western wall... the holiest site in Judaism. It also want to kick out, explicitly Jews from the old city, one of the only spots in history where Jews lived continuously since ancient time "ztabar", are the Jews that were never exiled. And while Israel has about 15% Muslim citizens, the resolution is explicitly calling the remove Jews, not just Israelis, from the territory. And the UN thinks THIS will bring about peace? They think dismissing Israel's security concerns will bring peace? They think not mentioning the word peace once, and forcing a unilateral move by Israel promotes peace? How about Gutierrez, few days after Oct 7, before Israel's reaction even, putting the blame on Israel and uaing offensive inflammatory rehitoric, then for 11 months, not communicating with Israel due to his inability to reach out, and admit the timing and wording of his statement was a mistake... you think this promotes peace? Lets put it on a scale. What does it do more, promotes peace and save Palestinian lives OR pander to anti-Israel anti-Jews?

What Muslim perceive as being their greatest strength, I think, is really their greatest shortcoming. As they are believing in Allah, with all Faith, they are losing sight of what is right in front of them. Their leadership will throw them before the lions. Allah requires people to take action, not in barbarism, but in communal organisation of forgiveness and mercy as does Allah. The many phrases of the Quran are surrounded by the recollection of who Allah is, so what else should be "Allah" to mean.
